SpaceX Dragon Docks With ISS

In a new era of space travel, NASA is relying on the private sector to launch resupply missions to the International Space Station (ISS). Rather than utilize another Soyuz mission, this is the Space Exploration Technologies Corporation’s first successful mission undertaken for NASA that is not a mere demonstration flight.
The SpaceX Dragon was launched on October 7th and docked with the ISS on October 10th, an event not scheduled until the next day. It is an unmanned capsule that was carrying supplies for the current crew of the ISS, and once the crew finishes reloading it with cargo to be returned to Earth, the Dragon will splashdown in the Pacific Ocean on October 28th.
